Snap-on Equipment’s Prism Imaging Wheel Aligner Wins 2008 Motor Top 20 Tools Award
September 10, 2008 -- Snap-on Equipment’s latest addition to its line of high quality imaging aligners has been named to Motor Magazine’s Top 20 Tools list for 2008. The Prism, the world’s first portable imaging aligner, was released this past spring and has been enthusiastically received by the market.
"We appreciate the recognition from Motor Magazine. Receiving the Top 20 award is a very significant achievement for our organization and for the Prism" said David Cox, Vice President of Snap-on Equipment, North America." The Prism is already being well accepted in the world wide marketplace because of the productivity advantages noted in Motor Magazine. We are confident that this product will become one of the game-changing advancements in the alignment industry."
Motor’s Top 20 Tools list is compiled annually by the editorial staff at Motor Magazine and recognizes products with features and benefits that offer outstanding productivity.
The Prism combines the accuracy, speed and advanced diagnostic capabilities of imaging alignment with the productivity benefits of a portable alignment system. The Prism also delivers unparalleled flexibility: it can be used on multiple racks at distances of up to 330 feet from the Wireless Access Point without re-calibration. Its unique design consists of imaging pods, targets and wheel clamps made from ultra light magnesium - cutting the weight to less than half of competitor’s models while making them easier to work with and minimizing technician fatigue. Rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries in the pods will go a week without recharging under average conditions, a dramatic productivity improvement compared to conventional systems. Easy-to-read screens on the console and led indicators on the pods keep the user informed of battery levels.
